i have always loved painting boats this is copy of an old masters painting done appox, 1925  i really liked the color,,,,,,,,,,,i painted this last month..

geese in the road

i painted this painting about three ago and everytime i look at it i am remined of going down third street and the geese trying to cross,  most cars will stop and let them pass,,,another great thing about out little town..

the old days

i think of the old days on the farm when you wanted to get out of the field and into some shade,,  a shade tree and a little coke and everything was ok,,,,,

getting outside

i love to get outside and setup my stuff
and paint, sometimes i get a really good
painting,,,,sometimes i don't but its always
worth being there,,,,,.

cancer center art show

about every other year i am asked by the local arts concil to display in the local cancer center and i am always glad to do it... twelve paintings in all.
this show is a little different no one gets to see it except patients and staff......it just gives me a good feeling..

friday painting

has been a while since i posted, had a lot going on what with the accident that totaled my pickup, selling my vw to a man from germany,  having to get out and find something to drive...everthing is back to normal now,,or as close as it is going to get... going to washington park in the am to plein air paint,,,come join me...

castle island !!!

i painted this appox 6 wks ago, it is from a painting i have of castle island
 in my studio.  that island across from
downtown washington holds so many
secrets and tall tales, from pirates to
bricks to ladies of the night,,,,,,,,,,
makes you wonder!!!!!!!!

evening on the intracoastal

i do so love these dark moody paintings, this is one of the few that i did and when i was finished, i was really finished. so many of them i keep wanting to go back and do a little something else,,,,,not this one!!!

this is a painting i did from a photo sent out from jimmy moore, pastor of our church,, i took out the people....i really admire the people that do this work in a foreign land,,,.

the cold

the weatherman said today next week was going to be very cold so,, it sounds like another week
in the studio.....
